4-2-26    THOUGHTS

I remind us that many years ago, our Savior was in the process of dying for us.  Mark 14:16   “The disciples went out and came to the city, and found [it] just as He had told them; and they prepared the Passover.”  1Cor 10:16-17   “The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ?  The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? 17  Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.”  1Cor 5:7b   “... For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.”

Mark 14:21-26    "For the Son of Man is to go just as it is written of Him; but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born."  22  While they were eating, He took some bread, and after a blessing He broke it, and gave it to them, and said,
"Take it; this is My body."   23  And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, and they all drank from it.  24  And He said to them, "This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.  25  "Truly I say to you, I will never again drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God."    26  After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

Our Prayer:
O Father God, thank You for the wonderful gift of Your Son!  May we consider deeply the multi-facets that are contained in His Death-Burial and Resurrection.  Help us to see the glory and graceful love in Your perfect plan to save us.  Draw us near to Yourself as we seek our eternal dwelling place.  We are overwhelmed as we consider Your blessings!   In the name of our Savior who suffered and died for us,    Amen.
